Troubleshooting & Tips
Common issues and tips to improve success when downloading videos from YouTube.
Video Not Found
If SnapGrab can't find the video, check that the URL points to the video's dedicated page and that it's public.
Tip: Try opening the link in a private/incognito window — if the video shows there, it may be region- or login-restricted.
Private / Age-Restricted Videos
Age-restricted or private videos often require authentication. Our service cannot download items behind a login or special privacy setting.
Tip: If you own the video, use the original uploaded file or change visibility before downloading.
Low Quality / Missing Resolutions
Sometimes only a low-res stream is available from the source. SnapGrab offers the resolutions the source exposes.
Tip: Try different link variants (youtube.com/watch, youtu.be) — some endpoints expose different streams.
Slow Downloads or Timeouts
Large files may time out on slow connections. Ensure your network is stable and try again.
Tip: Use a wired connection or pause other heavy downloads. If the server times out consistently, contact support with the video URL and timestamp.
Error Messages
If you see an error, copy the exact message and send it to support so we can diagnose faster.
Tip: Open the developer console (F12) and copy any network request errors — they help our team fix issues quicker.
Still Stuck?
Collect the video URL, your browser & OS, and a screenshot of the error, then contact support.
Contact Support — we usually respond within 24–48 hours.
